CSI Undergraduate Research Conference Participation

ISI student Frank Lennon and Information Management Minor (IM) student Dennis Shpits presented their work at the 2016 CSI Undergraduate Research Conference on April 21.
Frank's work discusses "Towards Secure Cloud Model" and presented CloudTrust Protocol and Transparency as a Service as means to ensure the cloud clients monitor the activities on the cloud-based assets.

Dennis' work stems from a year long research on developing a system to identify meaningful patterns in the Social Health Data. The social health data represented as a semantic relationships using RDF allows the system to explore and navigate the links and linked entities. Specifically, his system identifies an alternative treatment/drugs for a medical condition and identifies if there are any adverse or contradicting side effects reported by people.

Congratulations on the two students for participating in the research and conference and sharing their results so far.
