Info Session for Foreign Service Information Managers

** For IT Students Interested in International Careers **

Advisement Schedule

Faculty advisement schedule is as follows (Spring 2017):

What is Informatics?

Many people wonder what is informatics, and define differently. It is often referred to a narrower discipline "medical informatics" or "biomedical informatics." But what we meant by Informatics when we designed our CSI ISI program in 2013-15, we had the following wider interdisciplinary concepts in mind, which we think are well captured in The Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing [1]:

Privacy and Information Sharing

Many Americans say they might provide personal information, depending on the deal being offered and how much risk they face. A new Pew Research Center study based on a survey of 461 U.S. adults and nine online focus groups of 80 people finds that there are a variety of circumstances under which many Americans would share personal information or permit surveillance in return for getting something of perceived value.
